Not a banner day for Geraldo Rivera: In a crowd with fresh memories of Jesse LaGreca’s epic takedown of Griff Jenkins, Geraldo’s not-so-warm welcome is a tad heartwarming. Now, granted, his coverage of the protests — complete with Tavis Smiley and Cornel West talking from a studio — was pretty balanced, and not in that “Fair and Balanced” way, either. But his network affiliation led to some chants over his news broadcast — not fun — and eventually led to this rough exit, captured by Russia Today. source

According to recent polls, Fox News viewers are the most misinformed of all news consumers. They are 12 percentage points more likely to believe the stimulus package caused job losses, 17 points more likely to believe Muslims want to establish Shariah law in America, 30 points more likely to say that scientists dispute global warming, and 31 points more likely to doubt President Obama’s citizenship. In fact, a study by the University of Maryland reveals, ignorance of Fox viewers actually increases the longer they watch the network. That’s because Ailes isn’t interested in providing people with information, or even a balanced range of perspectives. Like his political mentor, Richard Nixon, Ailes traffics in the emotions of victimization.

Why is Fox News covering the Middle Eastern protests as if they were negative phenomena? Revolution of the people, for the people, is beautiful.

Protest and revolution are only embraced by some (such as Fox News) when it serves our corporate overlords… peaceful revolutions demanding human rights and dignity? Totally a front for those pinko lefty progressive punks to enslave us all, don’t you know?

Fox News on Egypt: The protesters are radical, Al Qaeda-sponsoring, Jihadist suicide-bombing terrorist theocrats. [Thanks to the Salon staff for putting together this Montage a Faux]

Glenn Beck compares the protests to September 10th.

100% fear, 100% of the time. That’s Fox.

They’re terrified of people really standing up for their rights and demanding real democracy and freedom from authoritarians and corporations… because it will put them out of business eventually.

They are, of course, Nazis. They have a kind of Nazi attitude. They are the left wing of Nazism. These guys don’t want any other point of view. They don’t even feel guilty using tax dollars to spout their propaganda. They are basically Air America with government funding to keep them alive.

I’d laugh because it’s so ridiculous, but… I mean, really?
