This was from last night’s sunset. Absolutely gorgeous. Spending the holidays in Southern California has its benefits.

Live Streams - West Coast Tsunami

producermatthew:

The following news organizations stream live during the morning and may offer video of tsunami waves as they strike the west coast Friday morning:

OREGON:

CALIFORNIA:

For a list of times when the earthquake is expected to hit the west coast, click here.

My friend Alex, who lives in Venice (Los Angeles), said this:

Hey Venice Beach friends- the tsunami advisory is 2ft wave at 8:28am. This is smaller than waves we normally receive http://edis.oes.ca.gov

Of course, always be careful, follow evacuation orders, etc.

They are creating a shell argument that they are doing this to protect jobs. Does anybody really believe they are doing this out of the goodness of their black oil hearts - spending millions and millions of dollars to save jobs?

Gov. Schwarzenegger, who also announced this today.

He’s on a roll.

While I did not take this photo today, it is of Venice beach, which is where I spent the last several hours surfing. I’m still struggling to stand-up, but I’m also at least catching waves in while lying down or kneeling. And I can’t tell you how much fun it is to catch a wave and find yourself speeding towards the shoreline suddenly. Or to even just be paddling out on the board, enjoying the peacefulness of the ocean.

If the ocean is a drug, I don’t want to be clean and sober.

Yeah, I might be hooked. Just a little.
